Christopher Aslett, Clinical Social Worker

Christopher Aslett received his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto and is now in his third decade of clinical social work practice.  Christopher’s early career focus was Medical and Rehabilitative Social Work; working with patients, couples and families undergoing traumatic life events such as violence, sexual assault, motor vehicle and industrial accidents, and self-injury.  His later work includes designing and managing correctional treatment programs for violent offenders with concurrent substance abuse disorders. 

Along the way Christopher has developed proficiency in many practice areas and modalities.  These include Addictions, Anger and Emotions Management, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Group Therapy, Bereavement, Problem-Solving and Social Skills. Christopher also provides Marital Counselling including Communication and Conflict Resolution Skills.

Christopher is Registered Social Worker (R.S.W) and member in good standing in the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (O.C.S.W.S.S.W).

Christopher has lived in Sault Ste. Marie for twenty years and continues to be impressed by Algoma’s rugged beauty and hardy people.  He is married and has three children.   He enjoys running, swimming and snowshoeing, and is an amateur musician and song-writer.
